How We Approach Specific Conditions

While every treatment is personalized, here’s how we commonly approach some of the most frequent pain conditions we see in our clinic.

Back Pain & Sciatica

Neck & Shoulder Pain

TMJ / Jaw Pain

Sports & Overuse Injuries

Acupuncture for Pain

  • Conditions we often see:

    • Herniated discs

    • Sciatica and nerve impingement

    • Chronic lower back pain

    • Postural stiffness or strain

    How we help:
Acupuncture can reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and target trigger points that restrict mobility or irritate nerves. For sciatica or disc-related pain, we focus on calming the nerve pathway and improving surrounding muscle function — often in coordination with your physical therapist or doctor.

    This is for you if:
You’re tired of flare-ups, painkillers, or being told to “just stretch.” We work to restore function and help you move with more ease.

  • Common issues we treat:

    • Tech neck and tension headaches

    • Rotator cuff strain or impingement

    • Frozen shoulder

    • Stress-related tightness in the upper traps and jaw

    How we help:
We target the muscles that overwork or lock up due to stress, poor posture, or injury. Acupuncture helps reduce muscle guarding, ease nerve irritation, and increase range of motion — without adding medications. We often coordinate with PTs or personal trainers if you’re also rehabbing.

    This is for you if:
You’re noticing limited range, discomfort during workouts, or pain that’s starting to interfere with sleep, work, or exercise.

  • What we often see:

    • Jaw tightness and clenching

    • Clicking or popping

    • Tension from dental work or grinding

    How we help:
Acupuncture helps relax the muscles around the jaw and face while also calming the nervous system — addressing both the physical tension and the stress that contributes to it. Treatment often includes local points near the jaw and neck as well as deeper systems that influence muscle tone and inflammation.

    This is for you if:
You clench during the day, grind at night, or have pain that makes eating, talking, or sleeping more difficult.

  • We see this in:

    • Runners, lifters, HIIT, yoga, and Pilates athletes

    • Tennis elbow, runner’s knee, shoulder impingement

    • Overuse from work or training

    How we help:
Acupuncture reduces local inflammation, supports tissue healing, and helps you recover between sessions — so you don’t have to choose between performance and injury. Our work is often integrated with PT or strength coaching for better long-term outcomes.

    This is for you if:
You’re active, but pain is holding you back. Whether you’re training hard or just want to move pain-free, we help get you back on track — without meds or downtime.

Why Our Patients Get Real Relief

Whole Person APPROACH

Pain isn’t always just physical. Stress, poor sleep, and other systemic factors can contribute to inflammation, tension, and delayed recovery. Our treatments are designed to identify and address these underlying contributors — which is why many of our patients experience meaningful relief, even when other therapies haven’t worked.

Personalized TREATMENTS

No two bodies are the same — and pain doesn’t show up the same way for everyone. That’s why we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all care. Every session is one-on-one and tailored to your needs, your history, and your goals. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing chronic tension, or simply trying to feel better in your body, we’ll help create a plan that fits.

Expert Care

Our practitioners are fully licensed, highly trained, and focused on getting you better. They bring a strong clinical background and a proven track record of delivering real results for patients in pain.

Proven care. Real results.

What to Expect

Consultation

You’ll meet one-on-one with a licensed practitioner to discuss your symptoms, health history, and goals. We’ll help you understand your options and whether acupuncture — or any of our services — is a good fit.

Your First Treatment

The session begins with a focused review of your health history and symptoms to get a clear picture of what’s going on. Your practitioner may perform a brief assessment, either at the start or during the session. In many cases, the intake conversation provides enough insight to begin treatment right away.

Treatment will include a targeted acupuncture protocol tailored to your condition. Depending on your needs and comfort level, it may also include manual techniques like cupping or soft tissue work.

Many patients leave feeling more relaxed, with noticeable improvements in pain, tension, or mobility. For chronic or complex conditions, results typically build over a series of sessions.
